My 21st Birthday


 My 21st birthday was on 1st September 2025. On those days, we had dance practices for the state dance competition. Because of that, we practiced until late at night every day. Since it was difficult to go home very late, we stayed at a friend’s house near our class. The day before my birthday we also practiced until late at night and then went to my friend’s house. After we arrived, my friends told me to go and wash because many people were waiting. While I was washing, my friends brought a cake and a gift for me. I was very surprised and happy when I saw them. Tears came to my eyes because I felt so happy. Exactly at 12 midnight, they celebrated my birthday and it was the first time I had such a surprise celebration. The next day my teacher also brought a cake for me to the class. It made me very happy. Later my father bought me a phone as a birthday gift. My 21st birthday was a very happy and unforgettable day in my life. 🎂🎉

A Beautiful Step in My Kathak Journey

 My Kathak Gunguru Poojawa was another beautiful day in my dancing life. At first, I started dancing because my teacher encouraged me, but now I like Kathak very much. During the Gunguru Poojawa ceremony, I wore the gunguru for Kathak. After that, I also did my Praveshika exam. Dancing with gunguru is not an easy thing. When we dance wearing gunguru, our legs can hurt a lot. But I really like the sound of the gunguru when I dance. It makes the dance more beautiful and special. That day is a day I will never forget in my life. It was a great opportunity to take another step forward in my dancing journey. I am very excited to learn more about Kathak in the future.

  Anuradhapura is a very famous historical place in Sri Lanka. It is a very old city. Anuradhapura was the first kingdom of Sri Lanka. There are many temples in Anuradhapura.Some of them are Ruwanweliseya, Jetavanaramaya, and Abhayagiriya ect. There are also many tanks in Anuradhapura, such as Tissa Wewa, Kala Wewa, and Nuwara Wewa ect. Lots of people visit Anuradhapura every year. Because of that, Anuradhapura is a very important historical place in our country.
