About Me

 My name is Hansani Lakshani. I am 21 years old. I have two siblings: an older brother and a younger sister. My father is a house painter, and my mother is a housewife. I studied at Sri Rahula Vidyalaya and completed my O/L exams there. Then I went to Anura Central College for my A/L studies. Now I study at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. I like dancing and learning more about dance. I enjoy helping others and making new friends. My goal is to become a good dance teacher❤️.

 My Kathak Gunguru Poojawa was another beautiful day in my dancing life. At first, I started dancing because my teacher encouraged me, but now I like Kathak very much. During the Gunguru Poojawa ceremony, I wore the gunguru for Kathak. After that, I also did my Praveshika exam. Dancing with gunguru is not an easy thing. When we dance wearing gunguru, our legs can hurt a lot. But I really like the sound of the gunguru when I dance. It makes the dance more beautiful and special. That day is a day I will never forget in my life. It was a great opportunity to take another step forward in my dancing journey. I am very excited to learn more about Kathak in the future.

  Anuradhapura is a very famous historical place in Sri Lanka. It is a very old city. Anuradhapura was the first kingdom of Sri Lanka. There are many temples in Anuradhapura.Some of them are Ruwanweliseya, Jetavanaramaya, and Abhayagiriya ect. There are also many tanks in Anuradhapura, such as Tissa Wewa, Kala Wewa, and Nuwara Wewa ect. Lots of people visit Anuradhapura every year. Because of that, Anuradhapura is a very important historical place in our country.
